Adif puts out to tender the environmental study of the Teruel-Sagunto section

Adif has put out to tender the consulting and technical assistance service for the drafting and technical support in the processing of environmental documentation for the Teruel-Sagunto section of the Cantabrian-Mediterranean Corridor.

These works have a tender budget of 264,898.7 euros (VAT included) and an execution period of 24 months.

In this way, one more step is taken in the progress of Email Data fulfilling the commitments acquired by the Ministry of Public Works to promote the set of actions within the framework of the comprehensive improvement plan for the Zaragoza-Teruel-Sagunto line as a strategic axis in the configuration of the Cantabrian-Mediterranean Corridor.

Specifically, the purpose of the work consists of the provision of consulting and assistance services for the drafting of all the necessary documentation to obtain the resolution of the Environmental Impact Declaration (DIA) of the following electrical installations:

• 400 kV Mezquita-La Puebla de Valverde High Voltage Line and its associated substation.

• 2×25 kV overhead contact line of the Teruel-Sagunto section of the Cantabrian-Mediterranean Corridor.

Among the works to be carried out, there is an analysis of the information available in the scope of action, such as that referring to the electrical dimensioning of the section, the characteristics of the route, the railway functionality and the topographical, geological-geotechnical, environmental and urban planning conditions.




Based on the study of said documentation, the initial project document will be written that will contain the definition, characteristics and location of the facilities, the main alternatives to be considered and an analysis of the impacts of each of them, as well as a territorial diagnosis and of the environment that may be affected by the facilities.

With the definition of the scope of the project and those infrastructures that are needed, the Environmental Impact Study will be drawn up, which will contain a general description of the actions, temporary forecasts on the use of land and other natural resources and an estimate of the types and quantities of waste and emissions of matter or energy. It will also contain information on measures to prevent, compensate and/or correct adverse effects on the environment and an environmental monitoring program.

Next, the public information procedures for the technical document of the project and the aforementioned Study will be carried out, to subsequently begin the environmental impact evaluation of the actions. Finally, the competent body, once the technical analysis of the evaluation file has been completed, will formulate the EIS .
